Our Story

This can TOTALLY be adjusted and tweaked. Does not hurt my pride. Just wanted to get you something!!

Hi! Wanting to know a bit more about TFM? Not sure how to put the whirlwind of our life in just a few ink splatters on a page, but we will do our best to let you see a glimpse of "us"!!

So, our story and adventures, as a traveling family (Tabb Family morphed into TFM through the years), begin about 20 years ago.
As we surrendered to the call of Evangelism, little did we know what would lie ahead. We were stepping out in faith to pursue something deeply rooted in our souls. Ashley was 5, Ellisa was 2, and our Bree was about 9 months. My husband, Sean, felt the urgency of this calling a bit before me. No pressure came from him as he pursued my heart to follow, in his prayers. I will never forget sitting at our piano playing softly, one Saturday morning, as the Lord whispered to my soul. I left the piano, walked into Sean's office, and simply said, "We have to go. The Lord is calling us." It's seems as though this might be a joyous moment of excitement and anticipation, but in all honesty, I fell to the floor crying, heart full of un-knowns and questions. To leave my home (which I learned through the years truly doesn't exist in just 4 walls), my comfort, familiarities,...there was a sense of foreboding anxiousness. YET, it was time to step. We set out with a green/blue dually Ford and a small 5th wheel as our tag-along house.

Many years have passed since that day, and now we are settling in to loving a community, and having a "still" home; roots.

Oh! the adventures. Jessa and Bren added to our family. Completing "us". Thousands and thousands of miles traveled. SO M.A.N.Y. songs sung!!!
Heartbreaks. Unforgettable moments. Sights seen. Food consumed. Roadside breakdowns. Laughter. Friendships gained and lost. Fusses. Sleepless night and days full of catch-up rest. Schoolin' on the road!!! Laundromat visits...whew! Washin' for 7 people! Swims in the salty ocean waves of Fla, and hikes in the arid terrain of Oregon.

We have visited all but a couple of states in the U.S., and traveled to many other countries and destinations. Let's see: Philippines, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Paris, London, Caymen Islands, and Africa.

Struggles have come our way. Sure. For we live in this sin-cursed world as do you all. Dark and uncertain days. We had a daughter battle against suicidal thoughts as the Enemy pummeled her soul and mind. My oldest was diagnosed with an incurable autoimmune. Lydia faced a cancer journey. Rejection. Loss. Financial anxiety has been heavy. Yet, as the Word of says in Psalms 42:11..."Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God." He is faithful and has and WILL sustain us. These hard days just make us tangible to others who have had loss, hurt, fear, mental struggles, and "life" happen.

We have gained 2 sons-in-love along the journey. Hard-working, Jesus-loving, honorable, fun young men that won the hearts of Ash (met her match with Ryan ) and Bree (wooed by Ben). They pour effort into the Pavilion, where each of their gifts lie.

Here's to our organized (sometimes) chaos and never ending escapades as a family and individually. Join us. Pray for us. Laugh with us. Worship with us. All are welcome.
